Gilchrist was Adjutant at Achnacarry and was always seen wearing the uniform of the Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ) in photographs. The book also contains a list of the Regiments, Corps and other Formations from which the Officers and Men of the 1st Commando Brigade were drawn. Donald resided in Ayr and was a manager of one of the local Banks. He was also author of 'Castle Commando'. | £10 |
