The author was on the staff of 111 Brigade and in a position to know much detail about the Operations. RECOMMENDED. a very nice copy.	£12

3	Hue Andre' THE NEXT MOON Pub Penguin 2004. 1st Ed. Bk v.g. DW v.g. pp 320. Plates. Hue was a British Agent in France. The book gives excellent detail about the organisation of various groups. An unusual item in the book is contained in appendix 1 where the Service Record of Hue's SOE Service is given and the layout and the way the record produced ( I have not seen this before ) is interesting.	£9

Contains the full list of those of the Regiment who were killed as well as those who died in the Japanese Camps. The price is slightly higher than I would have wished because it cost more to source it. Not everyone knows the book relates solely to this Unit.	£11

This has been separated because of its content. It gives good info. on The Regiments involved in the conflict and includes a photo of Lt. Col. Full of detail and it contains appendices such as ' the German Directives for the occupation of the Channel Islands ' Occupation Honours and named Raids by British Forces etc.	£7

18	Gilchrist Donald DON'T CRY FOR ME :The Commandos: D-Day and After Pub 1982. 1st Ed. Bk v.g. DW v.g. pp 192. Plates. Gilchrist was Adjutant at Achnacarry and was always seen wearing the uniform of the Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ) in photographs. The book also contains a list of the Regiments, Corps and other Formations from which the Officers and Men of the 1st Commando Brigade were drawn. Donald resided in Ayr and was a manager of one of the local Banks. He was also author of 'Castle Commando'.	£10

Alexander was described as the fire brigade chief par excellence and was despatched to retrieve desperate situations. This DW on the book is a light mustard colour and often appears grubby. this one is a very nice copy.	£9

It deals with the run in to Berlin and gives incredible detail about Soviet Strategy, Units and Actions. Konev was principally involved in the 1st Ukrainian Front. RECOMMENDED.	£9

Bletchley Park was responsible for trying to break the German ' enigma ' code but to do this they needed the ' enigma ' machine. The book concentrates on the efforts to obtain the machines at the cost of Service lives. The book is essential to understand the long process of cracking the Code.	£9

The book involves numerous people giving their stories of the various inter - departmental units within the Park. It is more detailed than book 38 and in addition includes an intellectual challenge since the codes are given and explained but understanding them is another matter. THESE THREE BOOK PROVIDE AN OVER ALL VIEW OF THE STRUGGLE FOR THE CODES : the battle to get the machines; the normal running of the facility; and the technical details of the machines and explaining of how they were worked out.	£9

General Westphal was Chief of Staff to Rommel in North Africa, Kesselring in Italy and Rundstedt in France. The plates on the German Army are particularly good. Campaigns by the German High Command are worth studying and in general more difficult to obtain. RECOMMENDED	£9
